Carding machine:
Carding: the material are divided and then constructed into a reduce string (sliver or tow) at the summary of this level.
The natural cotton comes off of the finding device in temps, and is then taken to carding models. The carders range up the material very well to make them simpler to whirl. The carding device comprises mainly of one big curler with lesser ones encompassing it. All of the wheels are protected in small tooth, and as the natural cotton continues further on the tooth get small (i.e. deeper together). The natural cotton simply leaves the carding device by means of a sliver; a big string of material.
Note: In a broader feeling Carding can talk about these four processes: Willowing- helping to loosen the fibres; Lapping- getting rid of the particles to make a smooth piece or lap of cotton; Carding- discovering the complicated lap into a solid string of 1/2 in across, a sliver; and Drawing- where a sketching structure includes 4 slivers into one- replicated for greater quality.
Combing is suggested,but is used to eliminate the lesser material, developing a healthier string.
