This Article presents an overview of the global Textile and Clothing industry, total manufacturing and total Textile and Clothing exports, the contribution of the Textile and Clothing sector to growth as a share of GDP, and the share of manufacturing employment in the Textile and Clothing industry.  It begins with a static overview  highlighting the following aspects:

• Share of Textile and Clothing in trade and foreign currency receipts
