A Bettsometer is a clothing destruction specialist widely used to evaluate or examine the reliability of clothing treatments (and associated stitching) on planes and their wings.
The Bettsometer consists of a pen-like device (which features much like a springtime balance) and a simple game hook or pin. The hook is introduced into the clothing and then the device is ripped to put in a particular power on the clothing to be able to examine. A graphic assessment is created to look at for any releases or holes at the hook placement position.
The Bettsometer examine is often a need for the yearly 'permit' restoration and is usually done by an planes home inspector who will know the specifications of the examine (i.e. the places of holiday and appears to be examined and the power to be exerted).
